EDITOR’S INTRO

Every single day thousands of incredible discoveries are made. It is true to say that nowadays they are made practically everywhere: at home and at school, in shops and in buses, by the lake or in-flight… These discoveries are silent and people don’t even realize that a person sitting next to them and reading a book is now discovering his or her own Terra Incognita. It’s not true that teenagers don’t read any more. They do! For instance, you can see the results of our questionnaire that prove it. However, one thing has definitely changed over the last 20 years: children don’t like reading books at home. Teenagers are always in a hurry, so they read books in public transport, at lessons (illegally keeping them under the desks) and of course, during school breaks. Unfortunately, we can’t discover any new continents or even islands, but we can gain a lot of unique experience and live hundreds of lives while reading books. So, discover your own Terra Incognita – open a book!
